At 72, Mark Harmon divides opinion with an unrecognizable new face. Fans can’t believe it!

Mark Harmon was recently spotted looking almost unrecognizable, right before Disney confirmed his return in the highly anticipated Freaky Friday 2. Harmon, 72, will star alongside Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan in the sequel to the 2003 body-swap comedy, which is planned to be released in 2025. Disney released the first behind-the-scenes shot from the project, which shows Curtis and Lohan, who reprise their roles as mother-daughter Tess and Anna Coleman, posing hand-in-hand on set on the first day of filming on Monday.

Lohan also used Instagram to share a series of clips from the Freaky Friday 2 set, highlighting her happy reunion with Curtis. She captioned the post, “We’re back!” Curtis uploaded the same video montage with her followers, captioned “FREAK OUT TIME.” Meanwhile, Harmon, who will reprise his role as Ryan, Anna’s stepfather, in the upcoming film, was seen conducting errands in Los Angeles. He appeared more casual than he did in the CBS crime show NCIS.

On Monday, the United States Sun published images of the shaggy-haired actor as he visited the popular Erewhon Market. He was seen squinting in the strong sun while walking down the street dressed in a button-down shirt, shorts, and flip-flops.

He also made a recent red carpet appearance, and he appeared to have adopted a more relaxed demeanor since quitting his position as Marine Corps sniper turned special agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs in October 2021. Harmon will feature in Freaky Friday 2 alongside familiar characters such as Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Rosalind Chao. New cast members in the sequel include Julia Butters, Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, and Sophia Hammons.

Fans of the first film are excited about the comeback of their favorite cast members. The reunion of Curtis and Lohan, in particular, has been highly awaited. Curtis’ delight was clear in her social media messages, as was Lohan’s joy at returning to the set with her on-screen mother. The original Freaky Friday, which was published in 2003, became a cult classic known for its hilarity and emotional moments.

The sequel hopes to rekindle that magic by reintroducing fans’ favorite characters while also introducing new ones. The plot details are yet unknown, but the presence of original cast members suggests that the sequel will remain faithful to the spirit of the first film while adding new twists and turns.Harmon’s return to the big screen in such a famous brand is a watershed point in his career, particularly after his lengthy run on NCIS. Fans are excited to see how Ryan’s character has developed and what new dynamics may emerge between him, Tess, and Anna!
