Fans reacted negatively to the message. The arrests were made as part of a drugs investigation into Perry’s death, which revealed that the effects of ketamine were the reason.

According to reports from 2023, Perry had been living with his aide, Iwamasa, in a Beverly Hills rented unit prior to his death. The star was paying a monthly rent of $49,000 while his Pacific Palisades property was being refurbished. Imasawa, 59, stayed with him for a year. According to sources, Iwamasa oversaw Perry’s affairs for nearly 25 years and may have discovered the star’s body in his hot tub on October 28, 2023.

Investigations discovered that Iwamasa had given Perry ketamine without sufficient training, for which he is currently being imprisoned. Dr. Chavez, a qualified medical doctor who previously ran a ketamine clinic, is accused of helping to obtain the ketamine. Meanwhile, Sangha, as “The Ketamine Queen,” is accused of supplying Perry the ketamine that killed him. It is alleged that Iwamasa worked with Chavez and Sangha to procure ketamine for Perry.

Dr. Plasencia, another licensed medical doctor, is accused of distributing approximately 20 vials of ketamine to the late actor, while Fleming, Perry’s acquaintance and “broker,” has already pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine and one count of ketamine distribution resulting in Perry’s death. When news of the five suspects’ arrests broke and investigations into their text messages were published, netizens were shocked to discover about the eight-word text Plasencia wrote to Chavez about Perry.Social media users who viewed the text conversations exchanged by the two doctors implicated in Perry’s death expressed their emotions. One user responded to a publication’s Facebook post on the subject by using a sobbing emoticon in their response.

The individual wrote: “So the people who he thought and trusted were his ‘friends’ were not his ‘friends’ at all, so so sad.” Another said, “What a sad story of a man with so much to live for.” The US Attorney’s Office stated that Plasencia sent the text after learning about Perry’s desire to obtain the chemical. Plasencia and Chavez texted each other in 2023 to discuss how much they would charge the late star for the medication.

While Perry battled his drug addiction, Plasencia allegedly wrote to Chavez, “I wonder how much this moron will pay.” He reportedly said, “Lets [sic] find out.” According to the indictment, in the months preceding up to Perry’s death, Iwamasa waited for ketamine from Sangha. Four days before Perry died, Fleming allegedly told Iwamasa that the chemical was “on its way to our girl.”

Sangha was reportedly the one he referred to as “our girl”. When the news of Perry’s death came, Sangha allegedly messaged Fleming and told him to “Delete all our messages.” Authorities discovered that the five suspects attempted to conceal their activities by using code terms such as “cans,” “bots,” and “Dr. Pepper” to refer to ketamine. Plasencia was allegedly aware that Perry was endangering his life.

A Telling Incident Weeks Prior to Perry’s Death According to accounts, Plasencia was aware that Matthew Perry’s life was in risk owing to an event that occurred 16 days before his murder. During a news conference, Martin Estrada, a US Attorney, stated that when Plasencia injected Perry with the substance, something alarming occurred.
