Copycat Olive Garden Chocolate Lasagna

Are you seeking for the most sumptuous, opulent, and luxurious dessert you can imagine? We have you completely covered, and you can thank Olive Garden for the inspiration. Their Chocolate Lasagna is a lesson in sweet decadence, with four layers of fudgy chocolate brownie-cake sandwiched between creamy cream cheese frosting and topped with a little more chocolate for good measure.

It’s a lot, and it’s not ashamed of it, which is exactly what makes it so fantastic. I have great news for you: you can now recreate the exact indulgence at home, and I can guarantee that when you do, it will be the type of dessert that people will speak about for years. I’ve got more wonderful news. You can begin with a package of brownie mix. Okay, two boxes of brownie mix.

(I mentioned there were four layers here.) You’ll take the brownie mixes and add everything the package says for, as well as a couple of extra eggs. This makes the mixture slightly cakier and more suitable for layering. Don’t worry, it’s still fairly fudgy. You’ll divide the batter between two square pans and bake until firm. (Again, follow the package directions here.)While those wonderful brownie layers cool, prepare a quick (but rich and delicious) cream cheese frosting.

It consists of butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar, which are smoothed out with heavy cream and vanilla essence. Basic but great. You’ll cut the chilled brownie-cake layers in half, creating two squares. (Again, we need four chocolatey layers.) Spread cream cheese frosting on the first layer, then add more layers of brownie, frosting, and toppings until all ingredients are used up.

You should next refrigerate your amazing product, or slicing it will be a messy process. While that towering stack of sweet satisfaction chills, you’ll whip up a quick ganache in the microwave, which you’ll then pour over the entire “lasagna.” I believe chocolate shavings are also acceptable here. After all, if the dish is called Chocolate Lasagna, you might as well go all out.
