It was a long time ago (longer than I’d like to admit), but I can still vaguely recall watching the high school talent show. I never participated in the event. In fact, I could barely stand up to deliver a compulsory presentation in class. That easy task, which practically every student must do, left me sweating and panicked. I would dread giving a presentation for days, and then on the day, I would stumble over my words and make a complete mess of it. But the relief at the end was the best sensation.

I never envisaged myself performing by choice in front of my classmates and professors. However, every year, children eagerly lined up to audition for the talent show and share their ingenuity with the audience. Most of these people were confident, natural performers. They truly loved demonstrating their varied skills and acts. Some performed better than others. There were dancers and musicians, as well as brief sketches and theatrical monologues.

Though each student was talented in their own way, their performances were very much like those of teenagers. It was enjoyable to watch my classmates perform, but nothing was particularly impressive or noteworthy. None of the performances at my school matched the boys in this video.

Their act not only entertained their peers, but it is swiftly becoming viral. Five high school boys formed a drumline called “The Hot Scots”. Their entertaining yet stunning performance showcases not just their drumming ability but also their wit and charm. I was surprised by their drumming, but I also chuckled and delighted at their singing, dancing, and facial expressions.
