Micah becomes tearful as his father comforts him, calling him his “best friend” and “favorite son” in a heartfelt scene captured on film. “You are the best.” Do you realize you have the best son ever? Micah’s emotional reaction to his father’s comments has won hearts online. In a TikTok video that has over 4 million views, he wipes away tears before smiling broadly. Spencer told Good Morning America that he discovered the touching moment on his phone and decided to share it. Micah is now 5 years old and continues to provide joy to his family.
“The song playing in the background is by Lewis Capaldi.” But for some reason, the first time he heard it, he teared up and looked at me, saying, ‘Dad, I love you.’ “That song has always struck a chord with him,” Spencer explained. Spencer, a real estate salesperson in San Antonio, Texas, has received numerous replies since sharing the video.

Spencer observed that several people thought his remarks to his son were ones their fathers had never said but wished they had. He emphasized that fathers frequently feel forced to be strong, encouraging their children to “be a big boy” or “don’t cry.” He does, however, believe in striking a balance between strength and emotional support when raising children. Spencer encourages Micah’s emotional expression, teaching him that it is acceptable to express feelings, even sobbing. He underlined that it is acceptable for guys to cry and experience emotions.
