I recently discovered a solution that has dramatically changed the way I clean my oven: steam cleaning. After using it, I am confident that I will never use another strategy again. Here’s why steam cleaning is the greatest oven cleaning technique you can use.

How Steam Cleaning Works.
Steam cleaning your oven is a simple yet effective approach that uses hot water vapor to remove filth and grime. The basic concept is straightforward: place a dish of water in the oven, dial up the heat, and let the steam do its magic. The heat transforms the water into steam, softening tenacious stains, baked-on food, and grease. Following the steaming method, the residue can be easily removed without the need for strong washing or harsh chemicals.

Here are step-by-step instructions for steam cleaning your oven.
Step 1: Collect your materials.
Water is the most crucial component! Tap water works nicely.
A heatproof dish: A large, oven-safe dish or baking pan that can hold water.
Vinegar is optional. Add a cup of vinegar to the water to boost its grease-cutting ability.
After the steam has done its work, use a soft cloth or sponge to remove any remaining filth.
Optional: spatula or scraper. A gentle scraping might assist to loosen even the most stubborn spots.

Step 2: Preheat your oven.
Start by preheating your oven to around 400°F (200°C). The idea is to create a heated environment in which water can be turned into steam efficiently.
