Parents and kids usually have very different concerns, fears, and wants when it comes to birthdays. Birthday parties, however, hold a universal concern and fear. Neither parent nor child want to throw a kid’s birthday party and have no one show up. It’s heartbreaking for the child and their parent watching, right?

It happened to the Mazzini family, but they ended up having the last smile. After no attendees appeared at their son Teddy’s sixth birthday, the Phoenix Suns NBA team made sure Teddy had a birthday he’d never forget!

Teddy Mazzini, turned 6 in 2018, but when it came time to celebrate, he was all alone. His mother, Sil Mazzini, invited over 30 of her son’s kindergarten classmates to her son Teddy’s pizza party birthday party, but none of them showed…

And only one parent had called to make their excuses and apologies. Teddy was left sitting alone and frowning against a long empty table with dozens of pieces of uneaten birthday pizza.

Teddy’s mother reacted violently by posting photographs of her son’s anguish on social media. Teddy’s lone birthday rapidly became known, and social media was flooded with birthday wishes for the toddler. The Phoenix Suns were among the well-wishers, offering tickets to their game against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday.

The squad wrote, “How about we celebrate with thousands at our place!” The area’s professional soccer club, Phoenix Rising, followed suit, asking Teddy to “come to join 7,000 of your closest friends!”The soccer club, which boasts icon Didier Drogba,

offered him tickets to Friday’s game and Teddy has accepted, according to reports. The boy later sent out a message to his supporters, thanking them for the kind words and for wishing him well.
