Little boy tells cop he’s selling lemonade to buy new shoes. Hours later cop returns

Last September 3, 2022, a Connecticut police officer made a difference in the life of a young kid through an act of kindness that went viral on social media. According to Wendelyn Narvaez’s Facebook post, her grandson, who is in grade school, created a lemonade shop. He also supplied pastries and brownies in addition to the thirst-quenching drink. A police officer approached the little child as he was selling his cooling drink.

Officer Joel Perez is a former military police officer who was employed by the Ansonia Police Department in March, according to a Facebook post on the Ansonia Police Department’s page. When the officer asked the youngster what he planned to do with the money he made from the sales, he was making small conversation with him. Little Landen said that he was saving money to get fresh new blue sneakers for school.

Officer Perez inquired about the boy’s size before departing. Landen was still selling lemonade after a few hours. Then he noticed someone he recognized. The officer had returned with a fresh pair of blue sneakers for the youngster. “Landen was surprised and couldn’t believe it,” Narvaez posted on her Facebook site.”I am honored to work for such a wonderful community.” Giving back is not only a blessing, but it also serves as a constant reminder of where I came from.

Landen, I hope you enjoy your new sneakers and never forget what a wonderful young man you are. “May God bless you and keep you and your family safe!” exclaimed Officer Perez as he shared their viral photo. After Perez’s kindness went viral on social media, Ansonia Police Chief Wayne Williams responded with an email, “These are the types of officers that we are all looking to hire,” Williams wrote.
