Butter Pecan Fudge

I really love fudge. I don’t know if it’s because I’m from Michigan or because I have a huge sweet taste. Fudge is a treat I can’t say no to. I love the cute shops “Up North” that sell it by the pound and the small amounts served at every holiday party. I’ve always liked chocolate and peanut butter tastes the most, but after making this Butter Pecan Fudge recipe, I might have to change my mind!

This treat is rich and buttery, and every bite has pecans that are just right. This method is the real deal; don’t heat the chocolate chips in the microwave. Get butter, white sugar, brown sugar, heavy cream, salt, and a pinch of cinnamon ready to boil. Bring it to 235 degrees, which is the “softball stage.” Take it off the heat and let it cool to about 105 degrees. After adding the powdered sugar and beating the mixture until it gets thick, you’ll then stir it until it loses its shine.

Lastly, add the toasted nuts and mix them in! I chose a fudge log instead of spreading it out in a pan because it made me think of the good years. You can use an 8×8-inch baking dish instead of a round one if you’d rather have fudge cubes instead. You can make this Butter Pecan Fudge for the holidays or just as a sweet treat. It will become a new favorite!
