Hawaiian Macaroni Salad

We enjoy experimenting with traditional recipes, such as macaroni salad. While there is nothing wrong with the traditional form, there are numerous ways to modernize it, and we chose a tropical twist: Hawaiian macaroni salad. There are still aspects of the version we all know and love, but numerous new ingredients have been added to elevate this classic side dish to a whole new level.

To begin, soak your cooked noodles in apple cider vinegar. This provides a zing to the noodles and serves as the foundation for a flavorful and delightful dish. Then add the chunks of juicy pineapple, bites of ham, fresh carrots, and green onion.

While the salad’s major ingredients already give off island vibes, it’s the dressing that brings it all together, with pineapple juice and pineapple yogurt sealing the deal and making this macaroni salad excellent. We enjoy the salty-sweet balance between the ham and the pineapple in this meal, and we also appreciate how it reminds us of summer and pleasant weather, even though it doesn’t seem like it is outside yet.
