Marinated Cheese Appetizer fantastic dish (cheese) to something that guests will talk about long after the party is done.

When it comes to appetizers, my key criterion is that they have cheese, so when an appetizer that is totally composed of cheese appears, I am completely sold. While this Marinated Cheese Appetizer requires little more than cubing some cheese and allowing it to soak in some herb-infused oil bliss, it elevates an already fantastic dish (cheese) to something that guests will talk about long after the party is done.

As easy as an appetizer can get, it’s also about as wonderful! My preferred cheese for this is mozzarella because it absorbs flavor well, but any hard cheese will do. A mild cheddar is also an excellent choice here. Simply grab a pound of cheese, cube it, and store it in a jar or bowl. (A jar is ideal since you can keep any leftovers in the fridge for quick snacks.)

Then, make your marinade by whisking together olive oil, parsley, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, basil, oregano, red pepper flake, and salt and pepper. You can change the herbs to your desire; it’s a versatile combination. Pour it over the cubed cheese and toss to coat, then chill for at least two hours.During that time, the delectable marinade permeates the cheese slightly, so when you bite in, you get not only the creamy, milky flavor of mozzarella,

but also a colorful smorgasbord of herbs, garlic, and sun-dried tomato. It’s delicious stuff. This will keep in your fridge for up to three weeks and, dare I say, gets better the longer it sits. I make no promises that it will keep long enough to sit in your fridge after, say, day two, because it disappears as soon as you put it out. Enjoy!
