There are numerous anecdotes that illustrate and highlight the bond between moms and their children. Some are told, while others remain untold. A few months ago, we came across a story in which one of the newborn twins looked to be stillborn. However, when mother Kate Ogg and her husband held him tightly, the infant regained consciousness. We can’t deny the power of touch.

Similarly, there are several anecdotes concerning twins and their alleged link before birth. The unique kinship between these two twins exemplifies this. Sonia Rochel, a French nurse, created this very beautiful moment between these twin newborns by showing the new parents a unique washing procedure that mimics the warmth within the mother’s womb. Rochel cautions that this procedure should not be attempted without the assistance of a specialist.

We show the twins in a basin filled with rushing water, with one of their parents holding each of their heads above the water as the twins, surprisingly, hold each other as if they were in the womb. They appear to be sleeping. They appear to be really calm and tranquil. I watched this and wondered whether this technique could be used to relax and soothe them if they were unwell or had colic. Even the music in the footage is relaxing and would be ideal for playing while bathing the babies.
