In many countries there is a very nice wedding tradition when a young woman takes a few bridesmaids who dress up in identical outfits, some of them give papers with vows or pads with rings, and someone sprinkles rose petals on the path.

Bridesmaids always go first and after them the hero of the occasion herself with her father. And today we want to tell you about one wedding where the bride invited her grandmothers as witnesses!

The guests were very touched. The girl decided that she would depart from tradition a little and instead of young girlfriends she would invite her grandmothers, most importantly, not only her own but also the grandmothers of her future husband.

The wedding guests didn’t even know about it, and when the grannies came out, so beautiful and happy, many of those present shed tears and even the photographer himself. No one has ever seen such an unconventional choice of bridesmaids before.

The bride’s decision was made not to make her wedding unique, but rather to provide joy to grandparents and show their appreciation for them. She was ecstatic to be able to spend her most important holiday with them.

“It’s fantastic when all the grandmothers can attend their grandsons’ and granddaughters’ weddings!” We were fortunate in that they remained with us. “I really wanted to communicate how significant this is to my husband and me; we consider ourselves fortunate that all of our grandmothers are still alive and well,” Lindsay, the bride, said.

The oldest bridesmaid is 90 years old (she is a great-grandmother). And the others are 70, 72, and 76 years old. But that day no one remembered their age, they were so happy and excited.
