16 years old nurse took care of a premature baby. What she found out 28 years later was a great surprise

Wilma Wong has been working as a nurse at a children’s hospital for more than 30 years. At the age of 16, the girl moved from Nicaragua to the United States. She always wanted to be a pediatric nurse.

Soon she learned and for the first time crossed the threshold of a medical institution. For all the time she worked, she took care of many children, some of them she remembered for a lifetime!

One day, a young doctor arrived at their hospital. Vilma started a conversation with the man, demonstrating what was what word for word. But when he offered his first and surname name, the woman was taken aback because they seemed quite familiar to her.

She remembered that this was the name of a premature infant she nursed shortly after arriving at the hospital for employment. Vilma asked the young man if his father had served in the police force.

“So you’re Wilma?” remarked the Doctor after a brief silence. It turned out that his family had remembered the youthful and loving nurse who had never left his side at night all along.

They preserved an old photograph of Vilma holding the infant. The young doctor burst into tears. Later, he revealed that he had wanted to find the nurse in the photo for years. And, having already worked with Vilma, he understood what true love and dedication to his work entailed.
