2 Corinthians 12:14: Here for this third time I am ready to come to you, and I will not be a burden to you; for I do not seek what is yours, but you; for children are not responsible to save up for their parents, but parents for their children.

Colossians 3:21: Fathers, do not exasperate your children, so that they will not lose heart. Luke 14:26: “If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.

Ephesians 6:2: Honor your father and mother (which is the first commandment with a promise). Proverbs 3:12: For whom the Lord loves He reproves, Even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights.

Proverbs 1:8: Hear, my son, your father’s instruction and do not forsake your mother’s teaching. Luke 21:16 But you will be betrayed even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death.
