Man Sings Rendition Of “You Raise Me Up” As A Final Goodbye To Brother

Nothing comes as more of a shock than the loss of a loved one. People have different ways of coping with this loss, as well. Although grieving is universal, and everyone has to let their emotions loose for their own well-being, there are some who like to celebrate the person who has passed!!

This celebration is a small gesture (whatever the family may decide on) to help pay tribute to the life of their loved one. Even this moment, though, is a tough one, I’m sure.

Before I say anything about this video, I’ll warn you: you’ll need tissues for this one. I say “tissues” because one won’t do the job. The clip is from a funeral, and everyone knows how devastating a funeral can be.

But, when families add a loving personal touch to the service, it can be heart-wrenching and emotionally overwhelming to see them make a loved one’s goodbye something so special. This family tried to do something heartfelt for their late son, and we’re sure everyone will be talking about it for the time to come.

Niels died when he was 24 years old. Although we don’t know what happened, his mother described his death as “sudden.” Niels’ father and sister spoke a few words at the funeral, remembering their beloved family member. His younger brother, however, paid the most moving tribute to Niels.

The young man sang “You Raise Me Up,” with the second verse entirely dedicated to Niels. Everyone was in tears as they listened to the tribute. “You Raise Me Up” was written by Secret Garden, but it was Josh Groban who popularized the song.

Although the entire family had a very difficult time coping with the loss, somewhere they feel assured and rested knowing that their son was a good man, and an organ donor.
