Two-month-old Charly was diagnosed with profound hearing loss when she was born. She had never heard her mother’s voice until she was fitted with hearing aids recently.

Her mother, Christy Keane, shared the video of Charly reacting to her saying ‘I love you after she was fitted with hearing aids. As Christy said ‘I love you to Charly, the adorable baby got emotional as she finally got a chance to hear her mother’s voice for the first time!

Although she is only two months old, her look says it all: she adores her mother! When Charly first heard her mother’s voice, she struggled to keep her emotions back.

When Charly was born, everything appeared normal. She was a normal baby girl until she stopped responding to noises and voices. When I realized this, I was ecstatic.

Her parents took her for a hearing test, and the results were heartbreaking: she has hearing loss and needs hearing aids.

Christy Keane said that none of her and their husband’s family members have a history of impaired hearing. Nevertheless, she was grateful that Charly is a beautiful and healthy baby girl, and being deaf will not stop them to help Charly achieve the best in her life.

“This is shocking news, but it’s not sad news. This sweet baby is beautiful and healthy and so capable of achieving everything she wants in life and we will make sure that happens!”

“We didn’t think she would hear anything so this was more incredible than I can put into words. Her journey to implants and language development is off to an amazing start!” Christy said on her Instagram.
